Willow
Willow is the newest hide in our portfolio and is situated on the same site as the Den.
Situated on the fringe of an ancient oak woodland Willow is a song bird paradise with all the birds you would expect including Nuthatch, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Greenfinch, Goldfinch, Starling, Song Thrush, Mistle thrush and a few you probably wouldn’t like the Yellowhammer & we have even had a record of a Raven!
Willow has the potential to throw up some interesting surprises as birds pass through on migration routes over winter with large flocks of Redwing and Fieldfare normally present.
We also have numerous Birds of Prey in the area surrounding the hide including Sparrowhawk, Barn Owl, Tawny Owl. Kestrel & Common Buzzard – while we cannot guarantee they will show its always a possibility.
